"Explore the Lemon Trail with us: A Journey through scents and history"
The Lemon Trail is more than just a stroll—it's a journey through the history, culture, and beauty of the Amalfi Coast. This ancient footpath connects the picturesque village of Maiori to its twin, Minori, in an easy hike with no major challenges.
This trail is a true feast for the senses: from the typical pergola terraces, to the silence broken only by bird songs, to the vibrant colors and enveloping fragrances. Here, we'll immerse ourselves in the age-old traditions of terracing, also admiring olive trees and vines that have thrived for centuries. And, of course, we'll have the opportunity to get to know better the famous lemon, Sfusato Amalfitano, known as the "gold of the Amalfi Coast,". A delightful delicacy with a history dating back to Roman times and enjoying prestigious I.G.P. (Protected Geographical Indication) status.
Upon reaching Minori, the adventure doesn't end! Let's prepare for a second part of the hike with about 400 meters of elevation gain, leading us to Ravello, one of the pearls of the Amalfi Coast. This location boasts an extraordinary history and medieval villas of rare beauty such as Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, visited every year by numerous history and beauty enthusiasts.
In Ravello, you'll have free time to explore at your leisure, perhaps visiting these magnificent villas if you wish.
For those who prefer a less strenuous option, there's the possibility to start the hike in Ravello and finish it in Maiori, for a lighter downhill route.
