The Path of the Gods is one of the most famous and cherished hikes along the Amalfi Coast. This fabulous natural itinerary has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
Spanning 7 km, it winds along the high mountain ridge from the 630 m altitude of Bomerano to either the 440 m of Nocelle or the 355 m of Montepertuso.
With breathtaking views, the trail allows you to admire the entire coastline down to the crystal-clear waters of the bays below. Throughout the hike, you'll walk amidst the colors of a masterpiece, from the shades of green and brown of the mountains to the blue of the sea, as if suspended between heaven and earth.
Along the way, you'll encounter old abandoned limestone houses, ruins that bear witness to a past turned tradition, with shepherds and their flocks, farmers with their mules, as this path is nothing but an old mule track. It was the only road that once connected Bomerano to Nocelle, where you'll encounter the donkey, faithful friend of man, the "last hero" of the territory, narrating an ancient story learned through slow, steady steps amidst strawberry trees, heather, myrtle, rockrose, fennel, and the typical scents of the undergrowth. There are countless medicinal plants still used in our daily lives, which we'll discuss during the experience.
The trail eventually leads us to the characteristic village of Nocelle or ends in Montepertuso, depending on our hikers' needs.
During the summer, we offer this tour at sunset or during the early morning hours to avoid excessive heat.
Starting from Nocelle or Montepertuso, you can continue the journey to Positano by descending the stairs and visit this small but famous and characteristic town.
Stop along the trail at the shepherd's cave for a unique enogastronomic and rural experience!
Lunch with typical products in Nocelle or Montepertuso.
We organize transfers to/ from our tour locations.
